Placing in Nationals 2018

The first National Student Steel Bridge Competition (NSSBC) was held in 1992. Within a few years, the event became one of the premier civil engineering student competitions in the United States. The competition continued until 2018. During this time ASCE student groups from Canada and Mexico participated regularly as well as schools from other nations who periodically participate.

In July 2018, the AISC chose to end it's agreement with ASCE in relation to the National Student Steel Bridge Competition. It is the end of an era. While the bridge competitions will continue, they will not be a part of the ASCE student conferences. The bridge competition will continue as the AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition.

2018 NSSBC took place at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The competition was held May 25 - 26, 2018. Overall, we placed 23rd out of 42 schools!
